The IssueMp3 players are becoming more common for the storage of music and other data. But most are square.
The Brief
Design a new Mp3 player that is a more ergonomic design, and is of a suitable size for a Glenfield College student.
Specifications
- It must be designed using Google Sketchup
- You must produce and ergonomic design

Tasks
1. Define the term 'ergonomic', and list some different ways (at least 5) that an Mp3 player could be 'ergonomic'
Ergonomics is the science of designing the job, equipment, and workplace to fit the worker. Proper ergonomic design is necessary to prevent repetitive strain injuries, which can develop over time and can lead to long-term disability.

- looks nice while being able to perform its job
- rubber grip to be easier to hold

2. Conduct some background research into currently existing Mp3 player designs - put at least 10 pictures into your blog page.
3. On paper sketch three different ideas. Get some feedback from the other students in the class, and explain which sketch you have chosen, and why.
4. Find the google sketchup program in your computer, and start playing! You need to make a 3D image of your design, to scale - so leave the person in!
5. When you have finished your design take screen shots of the different views, and post them into the page in your blog. Make sure you also save the sketchup file in the right place in your documents.
